Tot- Smarts

Another week of Tot- Smarts then we went to the Austin Aquarium.

Today, Wade and I dropped William off at preschool and drove straight down to Lockhart.  I had to give the car dealership that bought my car the extra keys and the third row seats.  Of course, I had to get some BBQ for dinner.

When I went to go pick up William at school, Ms. Nancy informed me that William went poo poo in the potty!  We are trying to make a huge deal of it so maybe he will continue.  He has been wearing just underwear for a few months now but he just doesn't want to sit on the potty to go number 2.  Luckily, he doesn't have accidents, instead he asks for a poo poo diaper!  This shows us that he is aware of the feeling but just not ready yet.  We are trying not to push too hard and force him though.  We know it will happen in time.  Maybe he is turning the corner in the going number 2 department, we shall see!  William got to pick his first prize from the poo poo prize box today!  He picked a flash light.

Weekend!

Last Friday, the boys were able to go to the Thinkery!  I let them go into the water room.  I usually try to keep them busy in other rooms and run out of time for the water room.  It was funny to watch the boys interact with the water.  William ran around trying everything out.  Wade, on the other hand, stayed in the same spot with those two cups the entire time.  It is awesome being able to watch how different these little boys are but at the same time they tons of fun together.

William had to sit in a high chair too!

This trip was easier because the boys spent a majority of the time in the infant area.

Since we are about to grow to a family of 5 and have 3 kids in car seats, we have been looking for a suburban.  After searching and doing a lot of thinking, I decided that a 2008 Suburban was the best.  I was actually looking more towards a 2007 but found a good deal on this guy.  I sadly had to say goodbye to a car that I have had for 12 years and that I loved.  I definitely would not have gotten another car so soon if we were not about to have another baby.  My parents bought me my dream car, a Tahoe, in 2002 with 3 miles on it.  After driving it for almost 12 years and putting more than 138,000 miles on it, it has seen me through many life changes.  Most importantly, we drove our 2 little boys home from the hospital in it.  Hopefully, it will find it's way to a new owner that loves it as much as I did.

On Sunday, we went to church then just hung around the house.

Life with the boys!

I can't believe I have a 3 year old!  School is going great now.  William simply walks straight into school without a problem now.  He still wants to take "Wade's De" for comfort but the teacher is great about it.  This week I finally got to spend quality time with Wade instead of just shopping for groceries.  We did make a short trip to HEB though.

Since we are looking for a new car right now, I had to laugh when I saw this.  Not only is there a picture of all of the family members in the family but the bumper sticker says "I used to be cool."

After HEB, we went to the church playgroup.

On Wednesday, I invited the moms from our "mom's club" over and William's little buddy Violet.  We had about 7 kids over.  They helped us eat a little bit of our leftovers and everyone enjoyed the new bounce house.

Violet and Henry stayed for lunch.  Little Wade tried to steal some of Violet's mac n cheese so I had to give him some extra.  He was the last one at the table and the only one to clear his plate.

William usually ends up in his underwear after nap time.  Being 6 months pregnant, I don't mess with getting him to put his clothes back on.

The boys finally coloring the pirate poster.

Today, William went to preschool and Wade and I went out for some fun.  Our first stop was the Round Rock Library for Baby Time Story Time.

At the end, they bring out bubbles and then toys.

Then we made a trip to the Austin Aquarium.

Visiting with the birds!

We made it home in time to eat lunch then walk up to get William.  Wade ate 2 hot dogs for lunch before we left!  William had a great day.  A fireman and fire truck came to visit them today.

Since the boys usually don't go to sleep right when we get home, we went to the park for a little bit.

Wade is getting good at climbing!

William is 3!

While visiting Andrea and the girls, Andrea put a clip in Wade's hair.  I didn't realize how long his hair was getting!  I just bring myself to cut his curls though!

William's Valentine Art

We drove down to San Antonio on Thursday to have dinner with Mike's high school buddy, Price.  The boys had fun running around near the Alamo!

I was getting things ready for the day on Friday morning. I heard noise from the couch!  Wade was trying to wake up William who had fallen asleep on the couch.

The boys attacking Papa!

Wade walking the plank at William's 3rd birthday party!

Our electricity went out on Saturday night because the transformer box blew.  Our whole cul-de-sac lost electricity.

Cleaning!

Saturday, I left the boys home with Mike while I went shopping for William's birthday party.  I had planned on going to several different stores because I go a little carried away at Wal-Mart.  It's crazy how fast things add up!  Then we went to church on Saturday evening because they were having a welcoming dinner for new members.  The boys had a good time but they did not listen or follow directions at all.  Wade is going to be hilarious!  The entire time that Mike talked to introduce our family to the group, Wade stood on his chair and pointed his finger like he does when we sing "Monkeys jumping on the bed."  I couldn't help but laugh!

Sunday was filled with cleaning!  I spent time on and off all day cleaning the game room.  We almost have it all decorate!  Of course, the room only stayed clean while the boys were asleep!

I finally put up the transportation stickers that I bought months ago.

Even the pool table is cleaned off!  I don't think it has been clean since we moved in.

Off to another tot-smarts on Monday!

Wade finally got to play with the fishing puzzle!

Ms. Anuva explaining the activity.

William putting Valentine's cards in bags.

I got Wade to put one in.

The boys painting a heart.

Then we went to get William's haircut.  Wade's hair is crazy but since Mike was not with us I didn't get his hair trimmed.  I'm sure Mike wants to be there for his first haircut.  Wade was super happy since he got a lollipop and got to look at fish while William got his haircut!

William did awesome!  We will start going on our own instead of waiting for Mike.   It was nice not having to wait.

William stole my phone last week and made a video!

Hot Water Heater!

A few months ago, Mike noticed that we had brown water.  After asking neighbors, plumbers, and water softener guys, we figured out that one of our hot water heaters was going bad.  Mike flushed it several times but the brown water would come back.  Luckily, we have 2 hot water heaters so we were always able to take a warm shower.  Last week we noticed a beeping.  Mike figured out it was coming from the hot water heater.  The previous owners must have put some sort monitor in the hot water heater that beeps when water is present.  Since it finally started leaking the insurance agreed to replace it.  So, forget our Wednesday plans because we had to stay home so the hot water heater could be replaced.  It definitely reminded me why I like to get out of the house everyday!

I love how they laugh at each other all the time.

I don't love the mess that I have to clean up 3 times a day after meal times.

My goal is try to do a little bit of Tot-School again.

Tot-school didn't last for long and they started playing.

Schools were delayed on Thursday because of weather so William's school did not meet.  Even though it was in the 20s, I was not going to have the boys stay home all day again.  We bundled up and made our way to Safari Champ.  The reptile guy was there!

William didn't want to touch the dragon!

Touching a snake!

Wade finally figured out the slide!

Having a cookie for a snack!

Long Sonogram!

Today I am 25 weeks pregnant.  We had another long sonogram today.  She had her arms in front of her face for most of the sonogram but the lady was able to get a few pictures.  She is 1 lb 14 oz today which put her at the 61%

Yes, she is sticking her middle finger at us!

She is holding one arm but has put her finger down.

Another day at Tot-Smarts!  Ms. Anuva, the teacher, is also 25 weeks pregnant but with twins!  Sitting down on the ground and bending down has become too difficult so we are sitting at tables now.  I am thankful for this change!  Today we did crocodile shapes.

Saying hello to Smarty the frog.

Tracing shapes!

Placing stickers along the shape outline.

Shading a crocodile with different textures!  Wade just liked to color!

Healthy Superbowl snacks!  Well, I had every intention of making healthy superbowl snacks but Mike kind of messed it up.  After cooking for a few hours, Mike ordered chicken wings and pizza rolls!  I more or less cooked for a few hours for myself and then had to clean it all up!

Healthy Superbowl Snacks: Kale Chips, Pb and J Oatmeal Cookies, Pb and Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies, Eggplant pizzas, Brussel Sprouts, and Crispy Parmesan Green Beans.

Cookies

Eggplant Pizzas

William refused to nap so he feel asleep as soon as we sat down to watch the game!

So did Wade!
