First Sleepover!

The Adragnas were finally going to the hospital to have baby #2.  So, Anthony came over to spend the night at our house while his parents were at the hospital.  We all had a blast, especially the boys.  William tried to show off the whole time and Wade wanted to do everything that the bigger boys were doing.

The boys were asleep when Anthony showed up so we turned on a show when his parents left.

The sleeping set up.  Anthony slept in William's room.  It took them about 2 hours to finally go asleep after we put them in bed but at least they stayed asleep all night.  William was the guilty party!

The boys watching their show before bedtime.

Wade had an appointment with the ENT doctor on Thursday.  I wanted all of the boys to be able to hang out but Wade already had his appointment set up.  He has had 2 ear infections since getting tubes in his ears.  The doctor confirmed that the right tube is not working properly and he has fluid build up right now.  We will go back in 6 weeks to get him checked out again.  He might have to get tubes again!  He was a champ at the appointment though.  He sat still so Dr. Thompson could look into his ears.  The doctor said "Moments like these and kids like him make you want to have more."  I don't think he noticed that I was already pregnant though!

After staying up too late and getting up early, William was exhausted.  He feel asleep on the couch while watching a show after preschool.

Friday was another beautiful day so we had to go to a park.  We met some friends at Springwoods Park.  The kids in Texas can't really make snow angels in January but they can make sand angels!

After going to the park we went to the hospital to see the Adragnas.  They had a little girl and named her Cecilia Christine!  She is beautiful!  Well, the boys feel asleep on the way to the hospital and on the way home so they had no interest in napping when we got home.  So, it was time to go back outside!

I love that we have so many different things to do outside in our neighborhood.  We can walk on the Oak Brook trail to the waterfall and see deer along the way.  We can go left on the Brushy Creek trail and go play in the sand or small splash pad at Champion Park or go on to Brushy Creek Lake Park.  We can go right on the trail and go to the "duck pond."  This pond has been under construction since we moved into our house so we are just getting to enjoy it.

William rode his bike to the pond.

William liked throwing rocks into the water.  Wade just pulled the grass and threw it!

Big rock!

With the pond under construction all of the ducks left.  I have seen a few ducks at the pond when we have driven by but there were not any on this day.  However, there was a guy at the pond with his 3 baby ducks.  He let the kids play with them but I was afraid what the boys were going to do!

We stopped at Creekside Park on the way back.

I love watching Wade play!

On Saturday, Mike finally got the bike trailer set up!

2014 Austin Freeze

2014 Austin Freeze!  It didn't snow but Austin got a lot of ice.

Since we were stuck inside, William helped me make a new kale chips.  I really liked this new recipe.  Mike and Wade also enjoyed them!

The boys didn't get outside today so they were excited when Daddy got home.

The boys got to go to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese on Saturday!

Sunday was gorgeous!  We went to church, came home for lunch, then headed out on the trail.  We went down to Brushy Creek Lake Park again.

We stopped at the sand park on the way back.  Wade loved it!  He did the exact thing that he did last week.  He found a shovel and bucket and sat for a long time filling it up.

A few pictures from our walk.  Wade slept almost the whole first half so he got a good nap in.  The boys loved throwing the balls and watching the kites flying.

On Monday, I finally made a green smoothie.  Of course Wade had to try it out.

Wade finally picked up a ball and was able to put it into the hoop.  Watch until the end and you will realize why William got into trouble!  Luckily, Wade was not hurt!

This weekend I bought some more cloth diapers.  We have 3 pink diapers waiting for a little girl to join our house.

Dinosaur Week at School

This is the 3rd week of preschool.  Mike went with me to take William to school since he would not get out of the car last week.  As I expected, he did not want to get out of the car once we arrived at school.  However, I could tell he had such a great time when I picked him up.  He was in a great mood and was so excited to show me the things that he made.  It might be a little challenging to get him adjusted to drop off time but I know he will have a great time while at school.

Projects completed on Tuesday.

The drop of process was a lot easier on Thursday.  He said, "Momma, I'm not going to cry" while we were in the parking lot.  He was only a little sad when I took him in.

His class made cookies with a dinosaur footprint in it.  He had to eat it as soon as we got into the car.  Of course, I let him after having another great day.

Projects completed on Thursday.

William was actually lucky to have gone to school on Thursday instead of hanging out with me.  Wade and I left William and headed straight to HEB.  We took the food home then headed to Costco.  We left Costco and had to go right back to pick William up.

Ice Storm 2014

It didn't snow but there was a lot of ice on the ground.  As of this morning, there were over 100 wrecks reported.  One of the wrecks included a 20 car pile up.  We definitely stayed home all day!

The boys were excited to play with daddy tonight!

Nana's Visit

Nana had a long weekend so she came up to see the boys.  Of course, she got up here late so the boys had to stay up late to see her.  Then they had to play with the toys that she brought and her ipad so they stayed up even later.  William loves Nana's ipad!

Saturday was a beautiful day so we took a picnic down to Brushy Creek Lake Park.  I have walked to Champion Park several times but never all the way to the lake.  The whole walk ended up being more than a 5 mile walk total.  We took our time so it was not a difficult walk at all.  William was able to ride his bike, run, and relax in the stroller so he enjoyed the walk!  Everything would have been ok but I my face got sunburned and wind blown really bad.

After our picnic at Brushy Creek Lake Park.

Sunday was a full day!  We left the at 9:15 for church and did not return until 6:30 pm.  We went to church, Iguana Grill for lunch, Austin Regional Clinic for Wade, then to the circus!  Wade's cough got worse over the weekend and we realized that his ear was crusty. Poor little guy had another ear infection!  This is the second ear infection with tubes.  We will be going back to the ENT in a couple of weeks!

William loved the circus and paid attention to everything.  The motorcycles were his favorite!

The tigers!

On Monday, my mom and I took the boys to the dinosaur park in Bastrop!

Weirdest looking around goes to this dinosaur.

Look at those claws!

Playing on the playground at the end!

T-Rex!

Since the boys both slept the whole way home, they didn't want to nap when we got home.  Well, we were playing outside and William came inside to get a drink.  He left the door open so a bird flew into our house!

Elephant Brunch

I had a full day planned but of course nothing went as planned.  It started out by learning that there was not actually a story time planned at the library.  It was canceled because of the holiday weekend.  I totally blame the website!  The schedule on the internet was not correct!

The boys dancing in the square across the street from the library.  William loves to show off when he sees that the camera is out.

Then we went to the Cedar Park Center to see the "Elephants Brunch.  I'm ready for the circus now!

The table of food for the elephants.

The elephants were late so he had to entertain himself somehow.  He saw older kids do it so he had to try it!

He also had to play with my camera.  He took a bunch of pictures so I had to include at least one.

The elephants finally showed up!

All of the dads had the kids on their shoulders so they could see.  I wasn't going to try that though!  I got tired holding both of the boys so we went to go look at the car.

We also had planned on meeting up with a Language Mom's Group for the first time after nap time.  However, William had a melt down when we got home and refused to take a nap.  He finally fell asleep 30 minutes before we were supposed to leave.  There was no way that I was going to wake him up much less take him anywhere so we didn't get to go.  Hopefully we get to go to the next meet up in 2 weeks!

Pictures from the Thinkery the other day

They look so engaged!

This stack of pillows is always a big hit.  Wade struggles walking down it; however, William loves rolling down it.

The boys having fun bouncing on these toys.  I was going to edit out the end but it shows the brotherly love!
