Week 2 of Preschool

Today was William's 3rd day of preschool.  He did really well last week with drop off so I didn't talk about school as much as I did last week.  He didn't want to stay today though.  When I got him out of the car, he told me "Momma, I'm sick (cough). I can't go to school."  How does a 2 year old already know this strategy?!  I was kind of impressed!  However, the teacher picked him up and took him into the classroom.  I listened from around the corner and didn't hear screaming so I left.  Yes, I also called about 20 minutes after I left just to make sure he was ok.  The teacher said he had a great day.  Of course, his favorite part was playing outside.

They talked about dinosaurs today.  He was able to tell us that dinosaurs eat plants. 

 

 

Wade and I went to the Round Rock Library for the Spanish Story-time.  A friend of mine has started a Language Mom's Group.  We will meet every other Friday to practice Spanish.  This week we are going to discuss colors in Spanish.  I checked out a Spanish CD and a Spanish Kids DVD for us to practice.  My friend, Gail, has 2 kids that are exactly the same ages as William and Wade,. So hopefully they have fun together even if they don't learn Spanish. 

 

 

 

The Spanish story time wasn't bad.  The lady only read 2 Spanish books but the rest were in English.  When we sang the "welcome" song, Wade could definitely tell that we were saying something that he did not understand. 

 

Wade didn't sit for very long.  There was another little girl running around so he liked to watch and follow her.

Wade made a hat (el sombrero) at the end.



  This is Gail's daughter.  She is only 2 weeks younger than Wade so hopefully they have fun together on Friday.

 

 

After picking up William, we came home watched a show, ate lunch, and went outside to play.

 

Since the dryer went out this weekend, a lot of laundry did not get washed!  I have done a million loads of laundry these past 2 days.  William loves to put the clothes in the washing machine.

Another beautiful day so we had to go to the backyard to play.  Wade has been climbing into the sand table lately for some reason.
