Wade: You get more awesome everyday! You make me laugh throughout the day. You more or less can say everything and surprise us with your new words all the time. I am late on this post because you didn't nap at all this last week. You started climbing out of your crib last weekend so by Thursday I was ready to move you to your big boy bed in William's room. It's been an interesting week that I'm sure we will laugh about one day though!

2 month check up!
William checking out where the UT student working with Dr. Ellis was. He had a crush! I have actually never seen him act this way before.
Waiting for her shots. She did good.
After Katie was born, we noticed William was getting stuck on word and started stuttering a little bit. I did a little bit of research that said it could be developmental but I didn't want to wake up one day and realize that we have a bad speech problem on our hands. I called Dr. Ellis' office for a recommendation on what to do and she said to go ahead and get him evaluated. We went last week to meet with a speech therapist and get William evaluated. William wanted Wade to go with the therapist too so they had a great little session. We went back this week to hear what she had to say and see what recommendations she has. She confirmed that his speech issues are developmental but gave me things to look for in the future. The stuttering has already slowed down a lot and I'm confident that it will eventually stop. Even though he has done great with Katie, I guess the stress of everything effected his speech a little. I also notice it the most when he is excited or tired. I'm really glad we met with someone though. After meeting with the speech therapist and hearing good news, we went to the Austin Aquarium to celebrate.
Waiting for the aquarium to open
Touching the tortoise.
Then we played for a little bit!
Videos from the week:
Last weeks t-ball game
The next 3 videos are from Friday when it was wet outside so we were stuck inside all day!
Good Big Brother William! When I change Wade's diaper, I usually put Katie in the crib. I stepped out of the room to put Wade's diaper away and I came back to William in the crib too.
The boys went up for nap a minute before I did!
The boys escaped to William's room!

Katherine Elizabeth: You are 2 months old today! Time has flown. You are by far the best sleeper as a newborn out of the three of you. The nurse was shocked by how much you slept at night in the hospital. By the grace of god, you have had your nights and days straight from the start. Hopefully it stays this way. A few times you have slept all the way to 5 in the morning before your first feed but it's usually 2 or 3 for your night time feed. Your fussy time is definitely in the evening but you are awesome throughout the day. You usually have to nap with 2 crazy boys running around the house but you are handling it like a champ.
Warming up before the game
William Floyd: You had a big day today! You sat on the potty and tried to go number 2 earlier in the day but you finally had success this evening. You finally went poop in the potty! So you earned your dragon! You also got your first bloody nose and busted lip today too. You were running in the house and fell hard. You have totally surprised me in what a great big brother you are. You love to just lay with her and stare at her. If I am busy doing something and she starts to cry, you go help her. I have caught you rocking her in the car seat, giving her the paci, and doing many other helpful things that I did not know a 3 year old would do. You are also great with Wade. Y'all love to run around the house and just laugh together. It's tough right now but I'm so happy that y'all are so close in age. You are still very picky and won't eat much but at the end of the day you still eat your oatmeal. I love sitting with you for a couple of minutes before you go to bed. Tonight you kept saying "One last thing..." when we were talking. You also love your superhero pajamas and acting like a superhero.

Laney's Visit!
Laney came to Texas! Laney and her mom moved out of Texas about 8 years ago and have not been back since. Thankfully, I have been super lucky to be able to travel with my mom in order to see her just about every year since she left. Laney is one awesome girl! I hope that my kids continue to have a relationship with her so some of her awesomeness will rub off onto them.
We picked Laney up from the airport in Austin on a Friday and took her to Juan in a Million for breakfast. I'm not sure if she was very impressed with it though. We wanted to show her a little of Austin so we took her to Hula Hut for an early dinner and then to see the bats fly out at the Congress Bridge. Both were kind of failures! I didn't even think about Hula Hut being a Hawaiian restaurant. Not a great place to take her for her first dinner in Texas! Then the bats did not fly out until it was dark. Fortunately, people took flashlights so we kind of got to see the bats but we didn't see them fly out in a swarm.
On Saturday, we went to Goldthwaite for our family reunion. On Sunday, we drove down to San Antonio to stay the night at the Hill Country Hyatt Regency. We got a late start because William was sick. After we made it to the hotel, we got William to take a long nap and everyone went to swim. William felt much better after a long nap and did not throw up anymore. On Monday, we went to the San Antonio Zoo and then to the River Walk. Monday was another long day but it was worth it. We got to see a bunch of cool animals at the zoo and show Laney the River Walk and the Alamo. After all of the San Antonio fun, we drove to Corpus Christi. I think Laney was amazed at all of the driving that we were doing while staying in Texas. In Corpus, we went to a Turtle Release, a Hooks baseball game, to see the Fourth of July fireworks at the aquarium (never again because of the traffic though), across the ferry, to the beach, and did a lot of swimming at Nana's! It was a fun week that went by way to fast. It was sad to leave Laney but I know she is doing great. I can't wait to see her again!
Miss Katie asleep on the couch.
The boys watching a show before bedtime. Look at that belly!
Wade playing with William's hair!
At the beach in Port A! It was filled with sea weed but the tractors were trying to clean it up. It smelled so bad though so we quickly left. Laney felt bad for us for not having beautiful beaches like Hawaii.
Wade was tired. William had been sitting next to him but when he got up Wade went over.
Wade loved my breakfast taco!
Playing outside one morning. We made the ice chest a water table for the boys.
Back in Austin.
How William greeted me one morning.
These boys make a cute team!
Enjoying ice cream!
First visit to the dentist! The boys did great. I don't know what helped more--the tv in the room or the fact that they both got to sit in the chair together. I wasn't even in the room for a big chunk of time since I had to change Katie's diaper (she had a huge blow out on the way to the appointment). Dr. Jenny did say that we need to start encouraging William to stop sucking his thumb,
