Katie's Big Week!

Monday:
Katie had her 6 month check up!  She is doing great. She has her 2 front, bottom teeth and is rolling over like crazy.  She is sleeping in her own room now.  I recently gave her a "bear blanket" to sleep with and seems to like it.  She is not agreeing to take a bottle though but we will keep working on it.  She started oatmeal cereal at 5 months but still isn't very "good" at eating.  Her first "real" food was avocados.  The first day was a failure but she liked them more when I added bananas to them.  She is not the easiest to feed because she has to grab the spoon with every bite.  She makes a huge mess!

Weight: 16 lbs 6 oz. (60%)
Height: 26.5 in. (75%)
Head: 43 cm. (75%)

Tuesday:

So exciting!  Everything changes since she can sit now!

The lumber was delivered for our deck.

The boys loved watching the guys carry the lumber to the backyard.

"Feeding his baby"

Brothers being brothers!

William is still a picky eater!  He refused to eat his pizza but ate the peas!

It finally warmed back up!  William was playing with my phone and taking pictures.

William's picture.

Katie took a quick bath with the boys!

I received my first kit from doTerra.  I'm really interested in using more of the oils.  I open to get an allergy attack on the day that I received the oils and tried Breathe on my chest.  I felt so much better!  I didn't want to use it anymore than the one time since it has peppermint in it.

Thursday:
Katie got to sit in the cart at HEB!  She did great and seemed to enjoy it!

Of course, Wade to have his donut!  Katie tried to grab it from him a couple of times of she didn't have any luck.

Wade showing Katie how to play the fishy game.

He is awesome at this game!  He sat there for a good amount of time and caught a bunch of fish.  He kept on saying "I got one. I got one."

William is loving watching the guys work on the deck.

Wade!  So when Wade steals a pen, he takes them apart.  This is the second pen that he has completely taken apart.

Friday:

Yesterday, I made another drop off at the Milk Bank.  I decided before Katie was born that I wanted to pump extra so I could donate extra.  With Wade, I only pumped in the morning so I didn't get a whole lot of extra milk.  Now, I pump in the evening and in the morning.  This one extra pump has allowed me to donate so much more this time.  Yesterday, I dropped of 235 ounces.  I believe this bring my total to around 1,100 ounces.  Knowing this number and seeing the Milk Banks newsletters definitely keeps me motivated.  Most evenings I just want to go to bed but knowing that my milk is helping premature babies helps a lot.
Katie slept pretty good so I able to pump a good amount.

We met some friends at Jumpoline.  William also made friends while we were there.  The girls were really cute with the boys too. When we were leaving, one of the girls asked to take a picture with William.  She got her phone and walked up to William and said "Let's take a selfie!"  I had to laugh!

Katie is 6 months!

The boys "helping" me make pancakes!

After breakfast, William and Mike went to William's last soccer game.  It was really cold outside so Katie, Wade, and I stayed home.  When they walked backed into the door, I could tell things did not go so well.  I don't understand the complete story but William ended up crying the entire game and did not play at all.  He was completely ok as soon as the game ended though.  He was given he trophy after the game but Mike did not let him have it right away.

When they got home, I got dressed and went to the mall to get a present for the McGowan birthday.  I got home at 1 pm to everyone sitting on the couch and watching football.  This would have been fine on a normal Saturday but we had somewhere to go.  We quickly made lunch and then sent William upstairs to take a nap.  Needless to say, Wade did not nap so he slept through most of Riley and Sloan's party.  Unfortunately,  I didn't take any pictures.

Brushy Creek Community Center!

Monday fun in the cul-de-sac.  Luckily, we got out to enjoy the pretty weather because we were stuck inside for a lot of the rest of the week.  This is both of the boys riding the car.

Then, they had Bailey push them back up the hill!  Poor Bailey!

Tuesday:  Fun at Brushy Creek Community Center
I have been looking around for a class to get Wade into.  I finally found a class that works.  I hope Wade enjoys it.  Every Tuesday for the next few weeks we will go to BCCC for Kinder Gym.  Since there were not enough kids signed up they combined Kinder Dance and Kinder Gym so Wade will get a little dance practice too.  We had a crazy morning since Mike had to be at work 7 am.  He wasn't exactly sure about the class and he sat back and watched the entire time.  He finally joined in at the very end with the balance beam!  The funny part of him sitting out was the fact that he sucked his thumb the entire time.  We didn't take his pacifier in so he used his thumb instead.

He loved the balance beam!

Getting a sticker at the end!

While looking for a class for Wade, I also found a class William.  He is going to practice his basketball skills in "Little Dribblers."

Doing an ice breaker activity at the beginning of Little Dribblers!

On Thursday, we made a trip to Natural Grocers in order to get a few things to make baby food for Katie.  I got 2 butternut squash, a few avocados, and some beets.

Here is the final product!  I hope Katie likes it!

Friday was a lazy day at the house so the boys stayed in their pajamas all day!  Here is a picture of Wade eating Kale chips.  I love that Wade will eat a variety of food!
