Pink Eye!

This week has been filled with pink eye!  Last Monday, Wade got it.  Mike got it on Wednesday. Then, I got it on Saturday morning.  Luckily my mom was here to play with the boys too. We had a whole fun weekend planned but had to cancel most of it.  Instead, Mike and I got a lot done at the house.  We made a lot of progress on William's new room which both of the boys will share in a few months.

Backyard fun!

Using markers and gel pens.

Mike spent many hours this weekend putting together the dresser and 2 night stands.

Since my mom brought William a Dusty book and a toy Dusty airplane, he wanted to have Dusty sheets.  So I guess we will keep the airplanes in the room.  Can't wait for the room to be complete though.  I'm getting excited about it!

William has been the only one (keep my fingers crossed) to not get pink eye.  Mike has had to work from home for a week now because his eyes have been so bad.  William got to go to school today.  Wade and I just ran a few errands.

The boys enjoying pizza from Costco today.

Doctor Visits!

This week has been filled with doctor visits.  Monday, Dr. Ellis for Wade's Pink eye.  Tuesday, Wade's follow up appointment with Dr. Thompson, his ENT.  Wednesday, Dr. Seeker to see little sister.
Baby is measuring right on track.  She is actually only 38% right now.  I don't know how William was 8 lbs 11 oz and both of his siblings are born in the lower 7 pounds.  At least labor with Wade was easier and the same will hopefully happen with Katie.  I think Mike and I have decided to name our little girl Katherine Elizabeth after both of our grandmothers.  Grandma Flanagan's name was Katherine Elizabeth and Mike's grandmother's name was Lucille Elizabeth.

Tuesday was Earth Day!  William made this at school.  When we got home we planted some Basil and Strawberry seeds that I bought in the Dollar Spot at Target.  Hopefully they grow!

On Thursday, William went to school and Wade and I went to the library.   Toddler Time started off playing with buckets and balls.  Wade did great!  Then storytime started and Wade did not do so great!  I ended up leaving early because I was tired of chasing him out of the room.  Maybe one day he will sit for storytime! Then we went to the Austin Aquarium.  We didn't stay long because it was packed with kids on a field trip.  There was a field trip last week too but I had more energy on that day.  When we were there, Wade tripped over the stroller.  He cried for a little bit but calmed down quickly.  When we got out to the car, I realized that his foot was covered in blood.  I guess when he fell he tore open a wound on his foot.  I felt so bad that I didn't realize it before.  We rushed home and luckily Mike was working from home.  He wasn't crying but it scared me to see his foot covered in blood.

He kind of paid attention for 1 book!

The boys painting a box that we got yesterday.  Since it's washable paint, the paint spots that are on the deck and the house will hopefully come out.

Easter Weekend!

On Tuesday, William went to school and Wade went to our church playgroup Easter hunt at the Davis Springs Park.

Eating a donut and driving the Fire Engine.

Stomping in the dirt with Luke

Wade learned that there is candy in the Easter eggs!

An owl sleeping on our house.

A closer look.  Hopefully we will see it again since I only took a picture with my phone.

A meatloaf cupcake!

On Wednesday, the boys and I went to the library for Toddler Storytime.  I left my phone in the car on the one day that there was a lot to take pictures of.  The librarian showed the boys a tiny robin egg that they found outside.  She also got the kids up to act out the books.  William was really cute following along.  Then the boys got play time afterwards.  William played with the puppets that had a tiny stage to go along with it.  He liked the dragon most of all.  Wade did good playing with the "Mega Blocks" until he decided that he wanted to step on them instead.  Then, we went to the All Abilities Park!

Wade having fun on the slide.  I love his little run at the end.

On Thursday, William had his Easter Egg hunt at school.  This was going to be his 3rd egg hunt for this year.  Before we left for school, I asked him if he was going to get scared during his school egg hunt and he said "Yes, I'm going to get scared!"  I reassured him that he could hold Ms. Nancy's hand and told Ms. Nancy that he might need some help in front of him.  I wanted him to know that he would have support if needed.  When I picked him up, William and Ms. Nancy were excited to tell me how awesome he did during the egg hunt.  I was proud!

On Thursday night, we went to go pick up a new bunk bed set for William's room.  The 2 twin beds will be separated for a couple of years though.  We stopped at Burger King for dinner since we were out.  The boys enjoyed their ice cream that they got with their kids meals.

On Friday, my Mom's Club got together at Cat Hollow Park for playing and an egg hunt.  Anthony got to join us.  The boys had a lot of fun!

On Saturday, we went to Jester King Brewery to help celebrate Jill's birthday.  We all had a lot of fun.  The boys were filthy by the time we left though!

We finally got our leaves bagged!  Who would think that we would have to bag leaves in the Spring.  However, with a yard full of oak trees, we will have to do this every year.  Luckily, we did not have to do it though!  The 'Mow Bros' picked up 17 bags of leaves!

Easter Morning!

William didn't have any competition this year since Wade was just focused on opening up his candy that he found.

After the egg hunt, we headed to church.  Church was super full since it was Easter so we didn't get a seat.  William got out his new cars and was totally fine playing with those.  Now, Wade is always another story.  After he broke the glass of a small (thankfully) candle, I used a firm voice and told him that I had enough.  I couldn't believe it but he responded to it.  He is 19 months old now so we need to realize that he understands us!

Brian and Kim came over for lunch and the boys loved it.  I didn't even attempt to make them take a nap because I know it would have been a battle.  They both did great all day and had tons of fun so I didn't mind.  However after Kim left and Brian and Mike went for a bike ride, Wade was asleep on the couch 2 minutes after I turned on the movie.

When the guys got back from their bike ride, we went outside to say good-bye to Brian.  I thought it was going to be a quick trip outside so I didn't have Wade put on shoes.  That was a huge mistake!  William jumped on one of the ride on cars and Wade went running after him.  He grabbed onto William's car then he fell onto his knees so he skid on the sidewalk!  He was actually really tough about it and only cried a little bit.  Then he would just grab his foot and say "boo boo".  I think he likes showing it off.

His wounds the next day!

If his battle wound were not enough, Wade woke up Monday morning with Pink Eye!  So we were off to see Dr. Ellis again!  She gave us a prescription for eye drops and told us about a cream to put on his wounds.

Practice Egg Hunts!

This week was fun!

On Monday, we went to Amy's house and the boys got to jump in their bounce house and play with Sophia, Natalie, Colin and Greyson.

Sophia was invited to William's birthday but got sick and couldn't make it.  She gave him a Home Depot weed eater with goggles.  He loves it.  He has had to sleep with the weed eater several times.

On Tuesday, William wanted to take the weed eater to school but I told him that it was too big.  Instead, he wore the goggles!

While William was at school, Wade and I met our church playgroup at a park.

On Wednesday, the boys and I went to a MetroMoms event.  We went to check out Ashley's Playhouse. It is a drop off daycare.  I signed us up because I'm hoping that Mike and I will start going out for dinner dates soon.  Instead of worrying about getting a babysitter to come over, we can just drop the boys off here to play for an hour or two.

The staff also seemed awesome.

Of course, William wanted to play with cars most of the time.

On Saturday morning, we went to our first Easter Egg Hunt!  Wade got 5 eggs in his age group but William only got 1!

 Mike trying to prep William!

He started off good but quickly got scared.

William went to his first drop off birthday party.  He went to Elle's birthday at The Little Gym.  He was a little scared at first but ended up having a great time.  During one of the games, he just went to hang out with Lauren (Elle's mom) and told her that it was too loud.  The party also had tons of little girls!  There were a few little boys but they just ran around while Elle was opening presents.

After the party, we went to eat at Jason' Deli.  Of course, William had one bite and wanted to get up.

First, Wade ate most of his hot dog then he moved over to William's plate.

Eating William's chips.

Then he moved back to his seat and enjoyed some ice cream.

On Sunday, we had a full day.  We started the day by going to church.  Wade was a riot at church!  Probably the worst trip to church that we have ever had.  Then, we had the Oak Brook Egg Hunt

Wade after stuffing a cookie into his mouth.

The boys would not sit with the Easter Bunny!  At the end, William finally got a little close to him and gave him a high five!

Wade trying to blow bubbles.

Our new glider for our bedroom!

Monday has started out with a thunder storm and hail.  We will stay home today!  Lately, we have caught Wade sucking his thumb a couple of times.  We are trying to keep his pacifier from him instead he is in the car or going to sleep so he is trying out his thumb now!

Fun Weekend with a Lazy Sunday!

William's toe now!

Friday night, our cull-de-sac had a first monthly "Frist Friday" cook out.  The Panico's grilled some burgers and we all hung out and talked.  It was a lot of fun.  Hopefully, we are able to continue the "Frist Friday" tradition.  I think all of the guys had the most fun though.

Playing outside at the block party!  A huge advantage of living next door to a photographer is getting really cute pictures of the boys.  Wade loved this ball!

Saturday morning, we took the boys to Sesame Street Live!  The rest of the day was filled with lunch, attempts to get the boys to nap, and an evening at Cousin Dave's house.  Aunt Carol and Uncle Joe are in town!  It was nice to see family.

Playing with their new toys!

Sunday was rainy and chilly outside.  We stayed inside and did a little bit of cleaning but mostly just relaxed.  I was able to take 2 naps!  Thanks Mike!  The fact that the boys took 3 and a half hour naps also helped.  They were tired after going to 2 parties this weekend!

The boys sitting with daddy and eating some goldfish.

The boys smashing their goldfish!  Wade is actually the one who started this.

Wade finishing the milk from the cereal bowl that we shared.

Wade licking nutella off of a plate!  This kid cracks me up everyday.

Hopefully, Wade sleeps a little better tonight.  The past 2 nights he has woken up screaming in the middle of the night and has been difficult to get back to sleep.  Friday, I was upstairs with him for more than an hour.  I also learned that he can climb out of the crib!

Mike's 40th Birthday Weekend!

On Friday, Jenny and I took William, Wade, Violet, and Henry to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.  On the way, we saw tons of bluebonnets.   The wildflower center was neat but I'm excited to go back when I'm not 8 months pregnant.

The field behind the kids will become filled with bluebonnets.  Unfortunately, there are not any yet!

Playing in the pots of sand!

Wade even dumps out the sand when he is not home.

The boys slept the whole way home so they had no desire to take a nap.  I love the boys playing in this little section of our driveway.  I'm sad that it took me so long to think about pulling my car back.

The boys got into the chocolate muffins on their own.  They were very proud of themselves.

On Saturday night, we met a few friends at Sam's Boat to celebrate Mike's birthday.

Mike's Cake!

On Sunday, we went down to the Austin Zoo.  Wade wasn't scared to feed the animals at all.  Now William on the other hand didn't feed any animals.  Ms. Nancy, his teacher at school, said he did feed the animals when the petting zoo came to visit their school.  Maybe he will feed animals in front of us one day too!

After the zoo, we went home to grill steaks and watch the MSU basketball game.  Unfortunately, MSU did not win but at least they made it to the Elite 8!  Then, we spent the rest of the day in the front yard.  It was fun watching all of the cul-de-sac kids playing together!  Hopefully Mike enjoyed his 40th birthday family filled weekend!

Wade loved feeding the goats!

Both of the boys got hurt toes this weekend while on Nana's watch!  William's 3rd toe is bruised because he hit his toe while running out of the backdoor.

Wade's second toe is a little swollen because he stepped on a bee while outside and got stung.  It was awful hearing him cry and hold his foot because of the pain.  Because of this mishap, we discovered that the bush in the back is filled with bees and that Wade is not allergic to bee stings just yet.  We will have to be careful though and watch all of our kids because I found out that my dad is actually allergic to bee stings.  Chances are high that one of our kids will also be allergic!

On Monday, we spent a beautiful day at the All Abilities Park!

They added a water faucet to the sand part!  Needless to say, both of the boys went home in their underwear/ diaper!

Started the boys on their "work binders".  My goal is to use these binders during dinner prep time.

Today, Wade had a second set of tubes put in!  He did awesome though.  He didn't cry at all!  The hardest part was not giving him anything to drink or eat this morning.

The boys playing in the driveway when we got home.

Why our house is always messy!
