We went on our first vacation! We went to Michigan for 2 weeks. The first week we were at Mullet Lake in northern Michigan. Then we spent the night at Aunt Linda's house in Ludington before we went to Grand Ledge. We had a great time! I'm so happy that my kids have such a great support system and a family that loves them. Thank God for Grandparents!
The weather at Mullet Lake did not completely cooperate. However, it all worked out because we got to do some cool things. We made a trip over to Mackinac Island on Monday since it was cold and rainy! It was really neat to see the island and it was actually Mike's first trip over there too. Steve, Cheryl, Wade, Katie, and I took a carriage around the island to see the sights and learn about it's history. The rest of the group rode bikes around. I'm still in shock that 600 people live on that island year round. On Tuesday, we made a trip to the Upper Peninsula (the UP) to check out the Soo Locks. The boys were great sailors! The rest of the week we stayed at the cottage and had fun on the lake. I loved the lake and think the Dobericks have the most almost set up. We all got to enjoy their pontoon, speed boat, and jet ski! I think the boys had the most fun playing in the sand.
